We have been meeting in Wombourne since 1979. Previously we met in the W.I.(village Hall).However, in April
2001 we were blessed with the purchase of the ex BT building in Church Rd, Wombourne. We then spent 12 months
completely revamping the building into our Ecclesial Hall.
This involved:
stripping out of obsolete equipment
building fabric repairs (plastering)
creating of escape routes(openings/paths).
partitioning into rooms to cater for our needs.
construction of baptismal bath and platform
re-plumbing
re-wiring
carpeting/tiling
landscaping.
not forgetting our saturday chip feasts......
and of course lots of cups of Tea!!!
We were very fortunate in this work to have a majority of skilled members within our Ecclesia. We all worked
together as a team, meeting on Saturdays and evenings through out the week to complete the project.
We opened on April 26th 2002 with a "Truth For Youth" gathering. Truth For Youth is a youth group gathering,
hosted by Christadelphian Ecclesia's over the midlands at the end of each month. For further event info, log
